THANK YOU!

This beautiful dress features ecru Swiss embroideries and pressed tucks.   It was created to coordinate with little brother's christening gown.  The yoke of this dress has 1/8 inch pressed tucks and a 1/4 inch ecru insertion which edges the bottom of the yoke.  The neck line is edged in ecru entredeux and has a narrow Swiss embroidered edge which has been hand rolled and whipped and applied by hand.  This dress is constructed from Swiss batiste.

The skirt of this lovely dress has two bands of Swiss embroidered insertion on either side of a band with three pressed tucks.  A wide Swiss embroidered edge is applied flat to the bottom of the skirt.  The design elements of the skirt will be adjusted to the size dress requested.  For example, a size 5 dress will have more pressed tucks in the band and the Swiss embroidered ruffle will be wider in depth.

As with all my heirloom dresses, every attention is given to the construction and finishing details.  The sleeves, skirt, and liner (built-in slip) are hand rolled and whipped and then gathered and put together by hand.  The seams are French seamed rather than overcast.  Wherever possible I try to follow traditional French hand sewn techniques in order to create an heirloom quality item which will last for generations.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.  This item will be custom made to your child's measurements and to your specifications.
