The Freya Heirloom Dress

The Freya Heirloom Dress

This precious dress features serpentine tucks interspersed with pin tucks on the yoke as well as in the skirt band.  The front yoke has a centered hand embroidered design completed in light blue.  On either side of the embroidered design is lace insertion followed by a grouping of serpentine and pin tucks.  The yoke has a narrow gathered lace ruffle at the neckline as well as a wider gathered yoke ruffle.

This dress is constructed in white Swiss batiste with ecru French laces.

The skirt has a band of serpentine tucks and pin tucks with a lace band above and below it.  The lace bands consist of three French lace insertions.  The skirt is completed with a gathered lace ruffle made up of three laces.

The puff sleeves have a gathered lace ruffle which is applied to entredeux beading and finished with double sided satin ribbon.

The dress also has a liner or built-in slip in Swiss batiste with lace edging applied flat to the bottom.

Mother of pearl buttons may be added to the back closure or left without buttons for the use of beauty bar pins.

This item will be made to your child's measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

As with all my dresses and gowns, the skirt, liner, and sleeves are hand rolled and whipped and constructed together by hand.  Every attention is given to following traditional French hand sewn techniques and to ensuring the highest quality item to passed down and preserved for generations.
