This beautiful long baby dress was designed to be worn by a baby girl then to be shortened at a later date as she begins to walk.  This dress would also be perfect in white for a baby dedication or christening.

The dress pictured is created using pale pink Swiss batiste and ecru French Maline laces.  The yoke features pastel hand embroidery consisting of pink bullion roses and greenery.  The bottom of the front and back yokes are bordered with a narrow French Maline lace insertion and the neck line is a fabric bias neck band with gathered lace ruffle applied away from the neck towards the yoke.

The dress has puff sleeves with a gathered French Maline ruffle applied to entredeux beading which has pale pink ribbon running through it.

The skirt has a lace band consisting of five laces:  three wide French Maline insertions and two French laces.  Above the lace band, a hand embroidered motif consisting of roses and greenery surrounds a hand embroidered initial.  The skirt is finished with a wide gathered lace ruffle which consists of three laces.

The dress also has a built-in liner or slip made in matching Swiss batiste with a lace edging applied flat to the bottom.

Mother of pearl buttons may be added to the back closure or left without buttons for the use of beauty bar pins.

This item will be made to your child's measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

As with all my dresses and gowns, the skirt, liner, and sleeves are hand rolled and whipped and constructed together by hand.  Every attention is given to following traditional French hand sewn techniques and to ensuring the highest quality item to passed down and preserved for generations.

Please feel free to contact me concerning customizing this design to your specifications and to receive an estimated turn around time.
