The Madelyn Heirloom Dress

The Madelyn Heirloom Dress

This lovely dress features a waisted bodice with a mitered yoke neckline.  A combination of laces including a narrow French insertion with a wider insertion and finished with an edge create the lace effect around the neckline.  Underneath the mitered lace portion are pressed tucks with vertical lace strips to finish off the fancy portion.  The bodice is fully lined.

The skirt features two lace bands on either side of a pressed tuck band which consists of three 1/2 inch tucks.  The skirt is finished off with a wide lace edge applied flat.

The dress pictured is made in white JAPANESE LAWN and white French laces.  This dress can be made in Swiss batiste for an additional cost of $75.

This lovely dress has a built-in liner or slip which is finished with lace edging applied flat to the skirt.

The puff sleeves have a gathered lace ruffle which is applied to entredeux beading and finished with double sided satin ribbon.

Mother of pearl buttons are used on the back closure.

This item will be made to your child's measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

As with all my dresses and gowns, the skirt, liner, and sleeves are hand rolled and whipped and constructed together by hand.  Every attention is given to following traditional French hand sewn techniques and to ensure the highest quality item to be passed down and preserved for generations.
