The Theresa Heirloom Dress

The Theresa Heirloom Dress

This stunning dress was made for a First Communion.  The bodice of the dress features shaped lace insertions and a hand embroidered design.

The dress is constructed in white Swiss Nelona and uses a combination of ecru French Maline and French Valenciennes laces.
The hand embroidery design features bullion roses with bullion leaves which are completed in ecru.  An initial may be added to the embroidery design.  Also, the embroidery design may be completed in pastel colors.

The skirt features two puffing bands with three lace bands on either side.  The lace bands consist of five French laces.  The skirt has a fabric ruffle edged in wide French Maline lace.

The sleeves have a gathered lace ruffle attached to entredeux beading.  Double sided satin ribbon is used in the beading.  This dress has a double sided satin ribbon sash.

Mother of pearl buttons are used in the back closure.

This dress has a separate slip constructed in Japanese Lawn and has a fully lined bodice and a skirt with a lace edging applied flat to the bottom.  Mother of pearl buttons are used on the back closure.

This item will be made to your child's measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

As with all my dresses and gowns, the skirt, fabric ruffle, and sleeves are hand rolled and whipped and constructed together by hand.  Every attention is given to following traditional French hand sewing techniques to ensure the highest quality item to passed down and preserved for generations.
